For me 2016 was very definitely the year of Wussy. According to last.fm in my top ten most listened to albums of 2016 four were by Wussy. I’m pretty happy with the top ten even though the order could change outside the top three depending on my mood. I had to extend the list to twenty-five entries this year because it was just too difficult to whittle it down any further.
Gig of the year was Wussy at The Electric Circus. I liked Wussy before the gig but afterwards I was a huge fan and (it felt like) I listened to practically nothing outside their catalogue for about a month after. A genuinely life-affirming and joyous occasion it will go down as one my favourite gigs of all time.
My most listened to song and my favourite new-to-me song of the year was Majestic-12 (Spotify link) by Wussy
